1. This is me and my mom in August 1973. We’re on Cape Cod where we’d go every summer and stay with my grandparents who’d rent a cottage and invite all eight of their children and families. My uncles rode their motorcycles up and pitched tents in the yard since the cottage couldn’t fit everyone. In this picture we’re outside my great Aunt May’s rental cottage, next to ours, where I always got treats - this donut, barrettes, ribbons. I don’t where my mom and I are going, but I love how stylish and pretty she looks - that great haircut, the earrings, the outfit. Vintage chic.

  2. This is my sister (right) and me (left), in 1977. That would make me two or three years old. I’m not sure why I am snarling. But I think these outfits are adorable. And check out the couch and toys and carpet! :)

  3. This might be when my dad first brought my mom home to meet his family, so she was dressed her best—mid-60s, so she was always going for the Jackie O look! Unfortunately she never kept any of her old clothes so these gems probably are floating around in a vintage shop somewhere…

  4. This picture was taken the night of my dad’s graduation from high school in 1969 with his parents. I love his glasses! He was definitely the original hipster. Truly, it looks like he came straight out of Williamsburg. I promise this photo didn’t come off of Instagram!

  5. Attached is one photo of me around 1979 with my pet boxer wearing a vintage Jessica Jessica McClintock Gunne Sax dress that was very popular during this time. **Check out the really short hair which was ‘supposed’ to be feathered or the hairdresser attempt at it.

  7. This picture shows my dad and uncle as groomsmen in a wedding from the early 1980s. Their hair is my favorite part (when my dad sent me this picture, he called it “Bros Fros”!)

  8. This is my dad and mom on their honeymoon, New Orleans 1967. They divorced when I was 13 but my two sisters and I love this picture more than any of the photos of our parents and each have a copy in our homes. My mom is killing it with the beehive hair, and her face is so soft and pretty. My dad always laughs and looks off to the side when he has his picture taken so I love that he was doing it back in the day, too. And I love how closely he’s holding her. So sweet. The whole scene is topped with the fruity vacation-style cocktails.

  9. This is a picture from an event I attended with my husband called, “Hollywood in Fullerton.” The theme was 1960s. I found this pink dress (reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s dress in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”) at a vintage shop in downtown Fullerton. I had my hair done and we had a great evening.

  10. This is my grandmother Rose. No, she neither dressed like a guy nor smoked cigarettes, although she is doing both in this picture because she’s dolled up for a costume party. I just love the look she’s giving the camera, with all her late-teen/twenty-something attitude. I don’t have an exact date for the photo, but it was between 1915-1920, in Pabianice, Poland, many years before she came to this country. She was always a lot of fun and ahead of her time. She’d be something like 115 if she were alive!
